Dog Royalty Newsletter: May 2017

Dear Royal Patrons,

I hope you had a great Easter and managed to eat less chocolate than I did. I've recently

returned from a whirlwind trip back to the UK, where I met my new nephew (see pic right), had to give a Bestman's speech at a wedding and was also forced to remember I'm too old for Bucks parties! I did also manage to fit in one dog walk with the groom-to-be too (awful pic below). One thing I did notice over there (apart from everyone thinking 15 degrees was warm weather) was how dog friendly it is there - dogs are on buses, on the tube, and in every pub going. It's one of the only things my wife Lucy and I miss about the UK really (friends and family excepted). While Sydney is

currently less dog-friendly overall, luckily this is slowly but surely changing, and with more dog-friendly pubs springing up all the time, you can usually now at least find somewhere to have a relaxed drink in and bring your dog to as well. Do let us know your favourite dog-friendly pubs - one of our favourites is the Vic on the Park, who we've also been partnering with in support of Maggie's Rescue since our launch - read on for more details about upcoming events at the pub you can support.

This is our new-look newsletter, which we'll be sending out every few months to keep you updated on all things Dog Royalty. Please read on for information about some important team changes, our featured dog of the month, as well as an exciting new venture where we will be bringing you FREE vet consultations as part of our daycare!

Thanks for your continued patronage,

Chris (Founder, Dog Royalty)

Jordan on to pastures new

It's with mixed emotions we say goodbye to our amazing colleague Jordan at the end of next week. Sad to lose such an amazing team member, but happy for her as she heads back to Canberra to continue to follow her passion in dog training and potentially pursue a career with police sniffer dogs. We wish her well in future and know the dogs will miss her & her selfies with them!

Free Vet Visits during daycare!

Southern Cross Vet Logo

In our quest to continue to maximise

convenience for you, our royal patrons, we are excited to announce that from May onwards we will be trialling free consultation days each month with the fantastic Southern Cross Vets! All dogs booked in on these dates will receive a free vet check-up from Dr. Sam Kovac and team, while we can also arrange to conduct blood tests and vaccinations on these dates too if required (these are paid services). The first date is Tuesday May 16th, so book this date in the members app now to avoid disappointment! Email us at info@dogroyalty.com.au with any specific requirements or vet questions.

Grooming Services - back with a bang!

Chris has returned so all grooming services are back to normal, and with the mud that's likely to arrive with Autumn, we are pleased to announce a limited special offer on Wash & Blow-dry's & Full Clips: Buy 1 Get 1 Free! All you need to do is purchase a Wash & Dry or Full Clip Credit in the usual manner on or before May 7th and we'll add your free additional credit (you can use this offer as many times as you like before the due date providing you are an existing Dog Royalty customer). You can then use the credits anytime within 12 months from purchase date.

a PAWFECT DAY OUT this sunday

We continue to partner with the Vic on the Park in support of Maggie's Rescue, and regularly provide prizes for their dog raffle on Sundays at this venue if you ever want to pop along. This Sunday though is a particularly special event: The Pawfect Day Out, hosted by Pawmeup, promises to be a great day out for you and your pooch, with $4000 of prizes to be won and food treats for humans and dogs alike. The event starts from 2pm this Sunday 30th April. We'll be there to give out our prizes, so hope to see you there.
